Special Construction Features
The special strength of the FoldMaster COMPACT is its reliable
high performance of folding up to 1400 sheets per hour (ironing speed of
up to 50 m/min.).
Therefore, high performance large piece ironing lines are
the typical application for this machine. In addition, small articles can
also be folded lengthwise in multiple lanes.
Modern textiles and washing techniques can cause static charges
which can disrupt the operation of ironing line.
In order to eliminate such problems as much as possible appropriate
precautions have been taken, for example special conductive coatings on
all rollers and support plates with antistatic device.
For individual programming and operation, the FoldMaster COMPACT is equipped
with KANNEGIESSER´s standard, user-friendly Control Panel type BT.
The versatile KANNEGIESSER IBT Control Panel is available as an option. This
system also automatically diagnoses any malfunction and can give a fault message
in the form of a text on the display. The IBT also enables you to expand the
system with the KANNEGIESSER Management Information System (MIS) and offers
up to 99 programs.

of folding up to 1400 sheets per hour (ironing speed of up to 50 m/min.).
Consequently the typical range of application the high speed ironerlines
for large pieces, nevertheless it is also possible to fold small pieces.
Modern textiles and washing technologies can cause static charges which can
badly disrupt the operation of the ironerline. To avoid such trouble there
is a special equipment including conductive transport belts, conductive coating
of all rollers and plates with central earthing.
Faults are stated by the machine itself and the corresponding fault appears
as a text on the display of the panel.

Principle
Length folding with airstream and crossfolding with a blade
The Combi can cater for a wider range of articles than any other folding
system, whether napkins or aprons, theatre green items, heavy duvet covers
or king-size polyester cotton sheets. It can produce a variety of fold formats
while maintaining the same high quality.
This makes the FoldMaster Combi the ideal folding machine for smaller operations
whose total production passes through the ironer line and which are sometimes
required to deal with very small items. The machine is also suitable for larger
operations that always require an ironer line for high quality items.
Stacking
The front edge of the item to be folded is measured transported with precision
and then drops onto the stacking table when the take off conveyor retracts.
The stacking table is lowered in accordance with the thickness of the item
controlled by a photo cell and sensitive pneumatic system.
Due to the reverse folding principle the Combi JUNIOR is able to process
a wide range of different articles from napkins, table linen and aprons up
to heavy duvet covers or polyotton sheets ensuring an especially high folding
quality.
Throughout the whole folding process the article is constantly controlled.
The front part of the item is lead by a movable guiding blade onto a separate
belt drive. When the folding point is reached the guiding fingers move back
between the belts of the main drive and a seperate belt moves in the opposite
direction (reverse principle). This process ensures the exact fold.
If the item is not required to be folded it will by-pass all folding stations.

The combination of reverse belt drive in the length fold, using a blade in
the cross-fold for stacking according to the roll-out principle means that
all commonly used length folds can be folds. This means that even fitted sheets
can be folded.
